Often
the creation of a web site means the formation of a new logo/idea/colour
scheme for your organisation. If
you need items like business cards, letterhead, flyers and posters,
designed to compliment or promote the new web site, I can definitely
help you out.
The image on the right is a small version of the business card I
designed for Brad Green from the Play With Culture
site. Click the image to view a full size version. |
Adobe
Acrobat PDF files are an extremely useful way of creating electronic
documents for distribution by email or disk or from the web. Besides
text and graphics, PDF files can contain links, audio, notes and
much more. They can even be used to create a portable version of
your site.
An example is the e-press kit I designed for reggae artist Jahmings
Maccow. This 5 page document contains text, images and links to
song downloads so potential booking agents can get an idea of both
the artist and his sound. The total
size of the file is 247K so it can easily be emailed or copied to
disk. |

Web
sites don't have to be limited to the Internet - they can also be
put on disk and given to people to view on their own computers.
One disc will work for both PC and MAC and they can be set up to
automatically load in the persons default web browser. This way
they can view your web site without the loading times associated
with the Internet.
CD Roms can also be used for presentations incorporating Flash,
Digital Video and all of the other fun stuff that you can't go too
nuts with on the web because it takes too long to load.
I now have the ability to create DVDs, something which definitely
has a lot of potential... |
In the multimedia/arcade section there's
is a streaming video taken from one of their gigs. I took this video
with one camera and edited it together. If you need any such footage
for the web site or something similar then I can definitely help
you out. I don't claim to be a pro cameraman, however my equipment
is definitely more than adequate (I use a Panasonic NV-DS38A - it's
pictured on the right - click on the link for info if you're interested).
This
handy toy also has the ability to take stills which is very useful
if you want some shots of the inside of your shop or any of your
products (see Eternity Bridal
Shoes - the internal store shot on the homepage was taken with
it)
(OK, so the picture above is from the Panasonic
web site and makes the page look like a brochure, but how was I
supposed to take a photo of my own camera...?) |
